curated vintage for collected homes.

Guestroom Archive began with a love of objects that tell a story.

Every piece is chosen for its craftsmanship, patina and ability to create layered, lived-in interiors. Rather than chasing trends, we search for objects that feel collected over time and worthy of another chapter.

Based in Chicago, we source from estate sales, antique shops, vintage markets and private collections.

Our philosophy.

We believe the best homes are built slowly.

Filled with pieces collected over time rather than all at once.

Objects with history, craftsmanship and character have a way of making a space feel personal.

A woman with tattoos on her arm is standing by a table with a lit candle, glassware, and decorative items in a dimly lit room with warm lighting, a lamp, and artwork on the wall.
A woman with dark hair styled in a messy bun, wearing a sleeveless black top, standing next to a wooden sideboard in a warmly lit room. She has tattoos on her left arm, including a butterfly on her forearm and a small design on her upper arm, and is holding a glass of champagne. Behind her, there are vintage decorative items on the sideboard, including a pink ceramic sculpture, a white bottle with floral design, and a lamp with a pleated shade. The yellow walls are decorated with ornate plates, framed artwork, and wooden shelves displaying decorative objects and ceramics.

The Collector.

Guestroom Archive is the personal collection of Sophia Kousiounelos, a Chicago-based designer and collector whose appreciation for beautiful homes began with her Nonni.

Her home was filled with antiques, heirlooms, artwork and objects collected over a lifetime. Growing up around these pieces shaped Sophia’s belief that a home should tell a story rather than simply be decorated.

With a background in art and materials conservation, interiors and luxury hospitality, Sophia brings that same appreciation for craftsmanship, presentation and permanence to each piece she sources. Everything in the Archive is chosen with the belief that timeless objects deserve to continue being lived with, loved and eventually passed on.
